About us

Our school, Howick Intermediate, is located in Howick, East Auckland, and is situated close to beautiful beaches, modern malls, and transportation. We are a co-educational school that caters to students in the middle years of schooling, specifically those aged 11 to 13 years old.

Our school has a rich heritage and a long tradition of educating highly achieving students who go on to have a positive impact on both the local and international community.

We have amazing school grounds with purpose-built facilities including large park-like grounds, two large covered domes with turf, six specialist technology rooms, a playground, and a 25m heated swimming pool. We are the only intermediate (middle school) in the area with a swimming pool.

Our school motto, 'De Bon Vouloir Servir', which translates to 'To Serve With Goodwill', is derived from the motto of Lord Howick (also known as Earl Grey). Our logo incorporates the border on Lord Howick's coat of arms, the ships on which the Fencibles arrived, and crosses that signify the early churches.
