SEZ Debating
Howick Intermediate hosted the riveting SEZ Debating Competition, showcasing intellectual and convincing arguments from eight teams across seven schools. Each team delivered well-reasoned and compelling speeches, making for a highly engaging event.
A special congratulations to our Howick Red team, who excelled in both the prepared debate and the impromptu semi-final round, securing a spot in the final against Farm Cove Intermediate. After a close and hard-fought battle, our team placed a strong second.
The event was a fantastic learning experience for all involved, including our debating teams and the Extension Literacy class, who supported as MCs, timers, and enthusiastic audience members. Well done to everyone who participated!
